A Yonkers police officer and at least two suspects were injured when gunfire erupted yesterday outside a shopping center thronged with Christmas shoppers.
Undercover cops fired at several suspects outside Macy’s at the Cross County Shopping Center, Yonkers police said.
News 12 in Westchester said police shot two suspects fleeing the scene. One officer was injured and at least two suspects shot, the TV station said.
The cop was injured when he was apparently struck by the suspects’ car, the station reported.
A manager at the mall’s Burger King said the melee erupted in the late afternoon.
“There’s cops all over the parking lot,” said the manager. “It’s nuts.”
The officer and suspects were being treated at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
