(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) – Several Albuquerque police officers are under investigation for allegedly stealing premium television service.
Officials say that one officer apparently learned how to reprogram DirectTV subscriber cards to obtain unpaid-for service and showed other officers how to do it. The group of about 10 officers are not alleged to have used police equipment or to have done the work while on duty.
They could face internal discipline or criminal charges.
