LONDON — A man is losing his precious designer shoe collection along with his freedom.
Isaiah Hanson-Frost, 22, was sentenced to six years in jail for a weapons charge after firing a gun at a blue Jaguar, according to BBC. To teach Hanson-Frost a lesson, police in Gloucestershire, southwest of England, plan to auction off his designer shoe collection that he agreed to give them during a hearing in November.
“We are keen to put a stop to anyone who is living a lavish lifestyle which has been funded through crime,” said Detective Inspector Shore-Nye.
The 55-pair collection includes brands Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Louboutin and Louis Vuitton, estimated to be around d $23,500.
Hanson-Frost has been in jail since April when he admitted being in possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear and violence and possessing criminal property. His brother and two friends, who were also there during the Jaguar attack, received shorter sentences for violent disorder.
Police allowed Hanson-Frost to keep Nike sneakers priced under $125, that he can wear once he’s served his jail term.
