How many street officers actually train for a physical confrontation? Do you have the ability to move without tripping over your own two feet? Do you understand balance and lowering your center of gravity when holding onto another person? Can you last two or three minutes without losing your last meal?
Do you know your personal weapons — your palms, elbows, knees? Do you know target — and hit! — areas which will give you maximum results with minimum damage to a subject? If you can’t answer these questions honestly to yourself, you may be boxing with shadows, because in the real world it’s not what you think you can do, it’s what you know you can do that counts.

Look, listen, learn, and share. I do. How about you?
