OGLETHORPE COUNTY, Ga. — A George state trooper was recognized Tuesday for his community-first mentality after he stepped in to finish a citizen’s chores.

According to Oglethorpe County EMS, Cpl. Frankel was driving by when he noticed an older man had slipped and fallen while cutting grass. As medics were evaluating the man, Frankel finished cutting the grass for him.

“He didn’t even worry about getting his shiny shoes dirty!” EMS officials said. “This is what community is about.”
