NEW SOUTH WALES, Australia — Australian police have discovered a flaw in the printable 3D Liberator hand guns – they can explode when the trigger is pulled.
According to The Commentator, police have reported that the files needed to print the weapon have been downloaded more than 100,000 times and police fear some of the gun’s buyers could be hurt while testing it.
The New South Wales police printed two guns using the files and tested one of them. Video shows the gun explode as it fires.
“Not only are they illegal, but they are enormously dangerous, both to the person you may be using it against and to yourself,” said Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione.
