NEW YORK — Later this month, four expert panelists will take part in a free, virtual seminar to talk about the physical effects that job-related stress has on police officers. Specifically, the event will look at cardiovascular disease trends among police officers and other first responders.
Hosted by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the webinar breaks down data from the Buffalo Cardio-Metabolic Occupational Police Stress (BCOPS) Study. The guest speakers will each present their research related to the BCOPS Study.

James Burch, MS, Ph.D., on “Shift Work Impacts and Adaptation in BCOPS Police Officers”
Each presentation will take 10 minutes, followed by a 30-minute live Q&A session.
