KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are searching for a male suspect who opened fire on an off-duty officer.
The officer was in his vehicle working at a local church Tuesday night when he noticed a man in the street looking in his direction, the Kansas City Star reported.
The suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking the officer’s vehicle multiple times. The officer was not hurt.
Officials said the officer was not in uniform, but was wearing a tactical vest.
