NEW YORK — Convicted cop killer Dexter Bostic will be charged with attempted murder today for allegedly shooting and robbing a man in Queens - one day before he fatally wounded Officer Russel Timoshenko during a routine traffic stop in Brooklyn, The Post has learned.
Bostic and co-defendant Robert Ellis are expected to be arraigned on charges of attempted murder, robbery, assault and weapons possession, law-enforcement sources said.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown plans to meet with Timoshenko’s parents before unsealing the indictment.
Members of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association are expected to show their support for the officer’s family at the arraignment.
Bostic allegedly used the same .45-caliber gun to shoot Carl Field on July 8, 2007, in a turf dispute over prostitution, as he did the next night when he murdered Timoshenko and wounded his partner, Herman Yan, in a shootout.
The hulking thug is serving a life sentence for Timoshenko’s slaying. Ellis was hit with 15 years after being convicted on weapons charges. in the case.
They were on the lam for several days before being nabbed in Pennsylvania.
The other accomplice in Timoshenko’s slaying, Lee Woods, is serving 40 years for the murder.
Woods was driving the stolen BMW when the officers pulled them over.
