Duty Death: Jared Allison - [NASH COUNTY]

NASH COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina sheriff’s deputy died Tuesday from injuries he sustained in the line of duty.
According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, Deputy Jared Allison was injured on Thanksgiving during an attempted traffic stop. Allison was trying to stop a motorcycle when another car turned in front of his patrol vehicle at an intersection. The car hit Allison, causing the patrol car to overturn and throwing the deputy from his vehicle.
Allison was taken to a hospital where he later died, according to the Memorial Page. Allison had been with the Nash County Sheriff’s Office for two and a half years. He’s survived by his wife and son.
