SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — A police officer died Sunday six days after collapsing on duty.
The Post and Courier reports 40-year-old Officer Robert Blajszczak, a seven-year veteran of the department, collapsed October 20 during a traffic stop.
According to ODMP, a passing officer saw Blajszczak in trouble and radioed for help. Blajszczak was transported to a hospital and remained there until he passed away. The cause of death was a heart attack, according to the report.
