PHILADELPHIA — Before flying off to Chicago, four members of the Philadelphia Eagles stopped by to visit recovering Officer Ed Miller.
Miller, a former officer with the Philadelphia Police Department who is now an officer at the University of Pennsylvania, was shot during an ambush that also left Sgt. Sylvia Young wounded, CBS Philly reported.
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross told the station Miller and two other officers pursued the man down an alley where he was shot and killed.
Both officers have been discharged from the hospital.
