CLEVELAND — The brother of an unarmed woman killed in a hail of police gunfire after a 2012 high-speed chase has been charged with disorderly conduct after reportedly making a death threat against the Cleveland officer standing trial for the shooting.
A court security guard reported 35 -year-old Alfredo Williams made the threat outside the courtroom Wednesday during a break in the manslaughter trial of 31-year-old Cleveland police officer Michael Brelo. Prosecutors say Brelo fired his last 15 rounds after the car stopped moving and suspects Timothy Russell and Alfredo Williams’ sister, Malissa Williams, were no longer a threat.
The security guard told the judge he heard Alfredo Williams say he would kill Brelo himself if he wasn’t convicted.
Alfredo Williams was charged Monday with the misdemeanor. No attorney is listed for him.
