SAND CITY, Calif. — Authorities in Northern California say two police officers were wounded and two suspects were killed in a gun fight in the parking lot of a Target store.
Monterey District Attorney Dean Flippo tells the Santa Cruz Sentinel the officers were trying to serve a warrant to the men sitting in a car at the store in Sand City when the gun fight broke out Monday.
Sand City Police Chief Brian Ferrante says the officers have non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to make a full recovery.
