CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Two resource officers found themselves helping a mother and her ducklings to safety, Click2Houston reported.
The mother duck had a nest in an enclosed courtyard at Kennedy High School. The officers wanted to move the birds to an area with more access to water.
The officers led the duck and her offspring through the halls of the school to the front door, giving them encouraging compliments.
“No chicks left behind,” one said to the mother duck.
