This week’s photo comes from Jeremiah Erickson of the Camp Ripley Department of Public Safety in Minnesota.
Erickson, who also manages his own photography business, took this shot of a train at sunset while managing traffic. Officers need to block traffic to allow the trains to move safely through a busy section of highway, Erickson said.
“This evening they came through at the perfect time and I was able to get our squad lit up, next to the train during the perfect sunset,” said Erickson.
