FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security has awarded nearly $60,000 in grants to 11 law enforcement agencies to purchase body armor.
The money is coming from the sale of confiscated weapons.
Homeland Security Executive Director Gene Kiser said the goal is to supply law enforcement officers the tools they need to carry out their jobs.
