Kremsdorf discovered a mother in labor in the backseat of the car and jumped into action, the department wrote on Facebook.
He called Officers Taylor and Garcia, the Kern County Fire Department and Hall ambulance for backup just in time for the baby’s arrival.
They team delivered a healthy baby boy on the side of the freeway.
Kremsdorf and Taylor visited the family in the hospital and said the mother, baby and father are all doing well.
