STILLWATER, Okla. — For one 10-year-old, the dream of being a police officer seemed out of reach, KFOR reported.
Riley Hoffman has a serious medical condition and believed he would never have the chance to be a cop. However, Stillwater police made his dreams a reality when they swore him in as an honorary officer on April 4 and declared it “Riley Hoffman Day.”
The department posted about the event on Facebook and community members congratulated Riley on his new position.
“I love how he smiled for the camera. Very sweet,” Debra McCray O’Day wrote.
