Gammatech unveils new lightweight rugged tablet

The tablet has an IP65 rating for dust and water-sealing protection and exceeds the MIL-STD 810G industry standard for ruggedness

GammaTech Computer Corp. recently announced the release of their newest rugged tablet, the DURABOOK R11.

The 11.6-inch DURABOOK weighs 2.73 pounds with the battery and features a 4th generation Intel® Haswell Core™ processor.

The tablet has an IP65 rating for dust and water-sealing protection and exceeds the MIL-STD 810G industry standard for ruggedness.

The tablet can also operate in temperatures ranging from -14 degrees Fahrenheit to 131 degrees Fahrenheit.

Other features include an LCD anti-reflective display, a capacitive multi-touch panel so that users can use it while wearing latex gloves, plus a built-in G-sensor, gyroscope sensors, and a light-ambient sensor.

A front-facing HD camera and rear-facing 5MP camera, 64GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.0, and a lithium-polymer battery pack that provides 6-7 hours of battery life are all included.
