VirTra has a new Law Enforcement Dog Encounters Training (LEDET) training program. LEDET is the first of its kind training program and includes structured coursework on engaging and deescalating dog encounters, along with simulation training with VirTra’s immersive, high-definition video training system. Together, the new training protocols help law enforcement officers learn safe interactions with domestic dogs. The LEDET program is a culmination of two years of collaboration between the National Sheriffs’ Association and law enforcement executives, legal consultants, and behavior experts to develop a gold standard for protecting officers, pets, and the public. This state of the art program will be complementary to the full Law Enforcement Dog Encounters Training (LEDET) course in development by NLECAA in coordination with the Department of Justice’s COPS Office. This is the only canine encounter course endorsed by the National Sheriffs’ Association. In this scenario, the low light feature is added for a high fidelity experience for this simulated event training. VirTra’s OEM body tactical training flashlight for law enforcement and military personnel is equipped with several industry-leading functions and features. Our proprietary V-Lux™ Technology (patent pending) — an intelligent sensor and microprocessor-based system — provides a smooth screen to screen transition with multiple flashlights at the same time per screen with a localized ground light spread for low-light training immersion. Manufactured using the OEM housing, the V-G2X training flashlight allows for all accessories with no need for filters that drop or break. The flashlight is compatible for use with all VirTra simulation training scenarios and marksmanship drills. VirTra’s chemical spray training exercises are physically replicated with the VirTra laser-based OC spray training device in the SABRE® MK3™. It is manufactured using the OEM training cannister, cannister tops, and activation button pressure to prevent unintended training scars, and the laser is mounted at the same launch angle for the true-to-life pepper spray training experience. These replicated features lead to each laser-based OC device matching the exact form, function, and weight of the OEM MK3 cannister.
