STANISLAUS, Calif. — Just in time for Halloween, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office has posted a “job fair” recruitment video that shows Stanislaus Lt. Tom Letras fielding questions from some non-traditional recruits.
“This was actually the brainchild of Undersheriff [Micky] LaBarbera. He came up with the idea two years ago, but with everything going on with COVID and stuff, we never made it. This is all part of a bigger picture of the Sheriff’s Department connecting with its communities. Letting people know we have a sense of humor too; we’re like everybody else,” Letras told the Turlock Journal.
In the video, the Wolf Man asks about grooming standards and Count Dracula wants to know if he can work in the coroner’s office, while Lt. Letras suggests Frankenstein’s monster may be better suited for the fire department.
