If you find yourself in a foot chase with a suspect you need to direct officers to your location ASAP. In addition to the address or street name give out landmarks that you might be headed towards.
Officers most always will see your patrol car before they see you. If they aren’t already on try to flip on your blue lights before you jump put out of the car.
It’s very helpful to direct responding units to you by advising them you are running (eg.)11 o’clock from you patrol unit (or whatever direction you are chasing in relation to a clock with the front of your car being 12 o’clock. It eliminates some of the guess work and gets your help to you quicker.
