WILDWOOD, NJ – A sick 9-year-old boy’s wish came true with the help of a few NJ police departments.
Ethan Kranig, a Wisconsin boy who suffers from ectrodactyly ectodermal dysplasia, was sworn-in to the Wildwood Police Department on Monday while he was in the area for medical treatments, according to Fox News.
Kranig had two wishes - to become a police officer and to visit the ocean.

Another local agency, the Middle Police Department, escorted Kranig to the beach to make his second wish come true.
John Lynch, who works with the city’s tourism department and connected the boy with the police departments, told Fox News that the boy was ecstatic.
“When we as a community can do that, can do something so special, it’s incredible,” Lynch told the news site. “With so much discord going on … this is what America is all about.”
Kranig is also collecting police department patches. If you’d like to send him one, please visit LunchWithLynch.com.
