MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — At a West Virginia University football game, one little boy wanted an autograph from state troopers instead of the student athletes, Appalachian Magazine reported.

The state troopers were at the game to help with crowd control when the boy, Braedon approached them, his mother Dreama Mullins told the publication.

“They were lined up at the bottom of the steps and he was so nervous and he stopped and saluted them all. It melted my heart,” Mullins told the magazine.

After a few autographs from the troopers, the all-star running back passed by. Mullins asked Braedon if he wanted to grab his autograph as well but he told her, “‘No, mommy, he isn’t a trooper,’” she said in her interview.
