GLENN BURNIE, Md. — Police charged two Prince George’s County residents with a Glen Burnie bank robbery and a 20-mile car chase Wednesday that ended in a minor traffic accident.

Rodney Scott Bush, 46, of Fort Washington, was charged Thursday with robbery, armed robbery, theft of less than $10,000, second-degree assault and drug possession.

Jacqueline Wilhelmina Isaacs, 55, who has the same Fort Washington address as Bush, was charged with multiple traffic violations, including attempting to elude police and negligent driving, according to online court records.

A man entered the PNC Bank at 7301 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie just after 2 p.m. and, after going up to the counter, he implied he had a gun and demanded money, Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said.

After obtaining an unspecified amount of cash, Bush walked out, got into a green Buick driven by Isaacs and they drove away, Mulcahy said.

Shortly afterward officers located the Buick in the area of Crain Highway and Georgia Avenue. Officers attempted to stop the car but Isaacs refused, leading officers on a pursuit. Isaacs committed numerous traffic violations during the pursuit, Mulcahy said.

The pursuit came to an end when the Buick crashed into another vehicle off Cronson Boulevard in Crofton. Both Bush and Isaacs were taken to area hospitals to be treated for injuries that weren’t life-threatening, police said.
