STOW, Ohio — Ohio police say two officers were hurt as they tried to stop an allegedly stolen dump truck that rammed multiple vehicles and led them on a 52-mile chase.
The (Cleveland Plain) Dealer reported Sunday a 17-year-old Stow boy allegedly hit two police cars and took aim at a third as officers chased the truck across three counties.
The pursuit began Saturday morning when the son of the truck’s owner spotted it on Fishcreek Road and called police.
The teen allegedly used the truck to push other vehicles out of his way before the truck was disabled when it hit a guardrail after exiting Interstate 77 in Strasburg.
The youth was lodged in a juvenile facility, police said.
