Captain Jason Potts began his career with the Vallejo Police Department in 2000 and currently serves as captain of the Operations Bureau and Emergency Services Unit (ESU). A member of the Violent Crime Working Group, Potts is known nationally for his strong advocacy of evidence-based policing. He is an American Society of Evidence-Based Policing (ASEBP) executive board member, a National Police Foundation Fellow and a National Institute of Justice (NIJ) LEADS alumni. He is also a military Reserve Special Agent with the Coast Guard Investigative Service and has a background in drug, gang and general investigations.
