DETROIT - The Detroit Police Department has received more than just views and likes to their recent “running man challenge” video - they’re getting a lot of interest from potential applicants.

According to a Fox 2 report, the department has received hundreds of job inquiries after posting video Monday of their officers dancing around iconic city spots like Comerica Park and the Joe Louis fist. The video currently has 7.2 million views.

“Other departments are doing it and we were like, we have a lot of talent in the city,” said officer David Mayes, who helped organize the dance, in an interview with Fox 2. “So why not all collaborate and do something amazing?”

Detroit issued a challenge to Chicago, which has sadly declined.
