The past year has seen several violent ambush attacks on police officers, patrol vehicles and stationhouses.

In September 2020, two Los Angeles deputies were shot and critically wounded after a gunman approached their patrol vehicle and started firing at the officers. In October 2020, two officers were ambushed in New Orleans by a man in a pedicab, one officer was shot in the face. And in February 2021, a gunman used a doorbell camera to ambush and kill two FBI agents.

Join us on May 26 at 2 p.m. ET for a live discussion, presented by Police Chief Terry Nichols and sponsored by Leonardo, to learn about:
  • Recent trends in ambush attacks
  • Ambush prevention and response strategies
  • How to recognize factors involved in ambush attacks.
We look forward to your participation in this officer safety learning event.
