Dear Police1 Member,

Marijuana grows have been proliferating across the nation. In 2017, an officer who was investigating a marijuana grow operation was seriously injured after he was impaled by a booby trap. Last month, seven people were shot to death at an apparent illegal marijuana grow in California.

In March of this year, Police1, in conjunction with Louisiana State University, conducted an expansive survey capturing law enforcement attitudes toward marijuana use and enforcement. With marijuana on the ballot again in 2020, a third of Americans could have access to legal recreational pot depending on the results. Click here for expert analysis of our survey findings and let us know your thoughts: Is marijuana a gateway drug? Answer our poll here or email editor@police1.com.

Stay safe,
