WASHINGTON — The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund has released the lineup of events for National Police Week, scheduled for later this month.
The virtual events will run May 9-15. They include daily virtual workouts, wellness screenings, installation unveilings and a virtual stream of the annual Candlelight Vigil. A virtual memory board watch party will premiere May 14 at 8 p.m. EST for 2021 officers, after a re-broadcast of 2020 heroes on May 12. The memory board honors families of officers who are listed on the Fraternal Order of Police's Roll Call of Heroes, according to organizers.
In March, the NLEOMF said it is also planning to host an in-person version of National Police Week this October, pending pandemic-related restrictions. See details for the October events here.
