The Town of Bayfield is currently accepting applications for Deputy Marshal.
Colorado POST certified preferred but not required as we will train.
If you are applying from out of state, you can contact Colorado POST directly and find out what steps need to be taken to challenge the Colorado POST to not have to re-take the police academy in Colorado.
The duties include patrol, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement and related law enforcement activities. Deputies work in partnership with the community to identify and resolve issues, provide public safety to the community and to maintain peace , safety and order.
Deputies must exercise considerable judgment, initiative and skill in a variety of situations and must be able to act without direct supervision in completing work.
Salary is $50,000.00 ($51,500 with successful completion of FTO) annually. MUST BE Colorado POST certified or graduate and be able to obtain certification by start date.
