Job Description
The White Pine County Sheriff's Office, located in Ely, NV. is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. A Deputy Sheriff is responsible to enforce Nevada criminal laws, County Ordnances, and City Codes. They work directly with the public to help solve issues related to criminal activities.
Additional Information
Hire on bonus available . If Nevada POST certified and in good standing with POST a hire on bonus of $15,000. is available. If not Nevada POST certified a higher on bonus of $5,000. is available. White Pine County supports its law enforcement deputies and has a great working relationship with the general public. Deputies work 12 hour shifts allowing them to have every other weekend off to be with family and friends. White Pine County is located in an area of Nevada where outdoor recreation is abundant. Hiking, hunting, fishing, ATV, UTV riding, camping, mountain bike riding just to name a few activities in the area.
Job Requirements
- Age: Minimum hiring age is 21.
- Education: High School graduate or GED
- Experience: None. Will train and send trainee to the Nevada POST Academy
Lateral transfers who are Nevada POST certified will receive consideration on the wage scale of starting pay. Years of experience are taken into consideration when the job is offered and the wage is agreed upon.
