Job Description

The Greybull Police Department (Wyoming) has an immediate opening for a Certified Police Officer and Police Sergeant.

What we offer:

Take home vehicle, all uniform equipment including boots. Uniforms are tactical, comfortable, and not traditional polyester.

4 weeks of Personal time off per year for the first five years, 5 weeks per year after 5 years and 6 weeks per year after 10 years.

Updated weapons including Suppressed SBR patrol FN AR15, Tactical 14 inch barrel Remington 870 Shotgun, and Glock 22 .40 caliber

Taser 7s, Expandable batons, Body Cameras, OC Spray, plate carriers, new radios, both portable and mobile, newer SUV Interceptor vehicles, one purchased every year, and issued by seniority.

Christmas bonus

Best hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities in the country. Twenty minutes from the Big Horn Mountains, and two hours from Yellowstone national Park

Relocation assistance up to $5000.00

Police Officer:

Beginning wage for professional certification (4 years +)) $44,720 Annually/ $21.50 per hour with full benefits.

We offer a fantastic schedule. 56 hours one week, and 24 hours the following week. 12 hour shifts rotating every three months. Every other weekend off.

Sergeant:

Sergeant’s position is a support / fill-in shift, and covers shifts when officers are absent, and performs hands-on training for patrol. Beginning wage set at $52,000 annually / $25.00 per hour with full benefits.

Sergeant’s qualification is a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, impeccable background in law enforcement with proven leadership skills, and no prior disciplinary actions. The Sergeant must be an exemplary figure in all ways, both intellectually, physically and have great communication skills.

Sergeant's Position may work into a Chief's position within one year of employment due to the current Chief possibly retiring at that time.

All candidates must demonstrate a history of integrity, professionalism, work ethic, and honesty.

The department may offer up to $5000.00 for relocation assistance for a qualified candidate with the entering of a one year contract reimbursable on default.
