*The City of King Cove Police Department is recruiting for: *

*Position: Full-time Police Officer *

Salary: $50k/year with increase to $55k upon successful completion of academy.

Hours: 12 Hour Shifts-One Week On/ One Week Off (If all vacancies are filled)

Position Summary: This is a full-time permanent position. Successful candidates will respond to emergency calls for Police, Fire and EMS services. Enforces local, state and federal laws. Completes written reports, conducts interviews and testifies at court proceedings. This position works under the supervision of the Chief of Police and the Police Sergeant. Work is performed independently.

Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must meet Alaska Police Standards Council background requirements for certification or possess an APSC Basic Certification or higher (https://dps.alaska.gov/APSC/Home), and have a valid Alaska driver's license or ability to obtain one.
