Seasonal/Fill-in

Position: Seasonal/Fill-in *Police officer *

Salary: DOE

Hours: 12 Hour Shifts-One Week On/ One Week Off (if at full staffing)

Position Summary: This is a Seasonal position between the months of May to October. Also fill-in may be required as necessary at various times during e rest of the year. Successful candidates will respond to emergency calls for Police, Fire an EMS services. Enforces local, state and federal laws. Completes written reports, conducts interviews and testifies at court proceedings. This position works under the supervision of the Chief of Police and the Police Sergeant. Work is performed independently.

Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must meet Alaska Police Standards Council background requirements for certification

(https://dps.alaska.gov/APSC/Home), and have a valid Alaska driver's license or ability to obtain one.

Benefits: The City of King Cove will pay airfare from Anchorage to King Cove. Housing is provided rent free. Take home vehicle.
