ORLEANS POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Orleans Police Department is accepting applications for the position of police officer.
- U.S. Citizen
- At least 21 years of age, valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain a MA L.T.C.
- Bachelor’s Degree at the time of appointment.
Applicants must pass an oral interview panel, chief of police interview, background investigation, medical exam, physical ability test (PAT), physical fitness test, psychological exam, M.P.T.C. approved police academy and must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of a Police Officer.
ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT
The police department is comprised of 28 employees, with an authorized sworn strength of 22 full-time officers. The Department is divided into two distinct divisions, Operations and Support Services. The Operations division is led by the Lieutenant and is responsible for all uniformed functions within the organization. The Support Services division is led by the Deputy Chief, who oversees the Detective Bureau and Communications.
