The City of Reynoldsburg currently has openings for Police Officer positions for 2021. All testing for this round of hiring must be completed by July 26, 2021.

Upon passing the NTN exam the Civil Service Commission will email you an application.
You must provide the following documentation at the time of application:
- Birth Certificate OR
- Permanent Residence Card AND Declaration of Intention to Become a U.S. Citizen
If you are claiming credit for any of the selections on page 1 of the application, you must provide the following documentation at the time of application:
- DD214 or LES statement – Military Credit (5% or 2%)
- OPOTA Certificate – OPOTA Certification (4%)
- Diploma or Certified Final Transcript – Bachelor’s Degree (3%)
You have seven days to submit the application and documents. If your documents are not turned in within seven days you will not receive the points for your documentation.
The City of Reynoldsburg does not require a PAT through NTN. PAT testing will be conducted by the City of Reynoldsburg on Thursday, August 12th, 2021, at 5:30pm pm and Saturday, August 14th, 2021, at 7:30 am.
Salary Information: $62,400.00 – $98,300.80. (5 steps. Caps after 48 months)

Department Information: Information: The Reynoldsburg Division of Police is comprised of sixty-eight sworn officers that include the Chief, one Deputy Chief, two Lieutenants, nine Sergeants, and fifty-five Officers. The department consists of a Criminal Investigations Unit, a Special Investigations Unit, a K-9 Unit, a Motorcycle Unit, S.W.A.T. and a Community Resource Bureau.
City Information: The City of Reynoldsburg has a population of 36,000 residents and is thirteen square miles. It is located twelve miles east of downtown Columbus. Reynoldsburg is a diverse residential community that offers beautiful green spaces, 275 acres of parkland with numerous sporting fields, walking trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas. The City incorporates three counties: Franklin, Fairfield, and Licking.

Necessary Certifications : Ohio Police Officer Training Academy certificate or the ability to attend and successfully complete a residential police academy as required for appointment.
Schooling Prior and Post Hiring : High school diploma or G.E.D.
Tattoo Policy : No visible tattoos are permitted on the face, head, neck, or hands. Any visible tattoo must not represent any street, prison, or criminal gang (past or present). No tattoos that would be considered offensive to the public or suggest or depict torture or violence, is gruesome in appearance, suggest or depict sexual activity, use of profanity.
