Job Description
In This Position:
-
Provide Public Safety by patrolling the streets protecting the lives and property of the residents

Uphold and enforce the law
-
Write reports of activities and conduct traffic stops as needed

Investigate criminal activity and assist other officers with arrest; process detainees through booking

Arrest law violators when applicable, and investigate auto accidents when applicable
Need to have:

Applicants must possesss AZPOST certification or qualify to apply for a waiver through AZPOST

Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License & be able to pass an extensive background screening
Base starting pay is $26.50 after graduation from the police academy. While in the police academy, pay is $25.50. Full benefits upon hire to include medical, dental and eye insurance.

The department offers a variety of career paths to include: Traffic, Patrol, Criminal Investigation, SWAT, Drug Enforcement, K9, Motors and other paths available.
Your schedule will include one weekend day off as the department works 4 ten hour days with scheduled Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday.

Job Requirements
- Age: 21 years upon graduation form the academy
- Education: High School, GED, or equivalent
- Experience: None needed for the Trainee Positions
