Axon announces new software tools for video redaction, performance analytics
Axon’s new tools are designed to help agencies with video redaction and measuring officer performance and compliance

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Axon announced two new software tools for public safety on Tuesday.
Axon’s Redaction Assistant is designed to help agencies save time redacting body-worn camera footage. The software uses artificial intelligence to automate part of the process that agencies would otherwise have to do manually.
Axon Performance, the company’s new BWC video data analytics software, is also designed to be a time-saver. It automatically tracks certain metrics that a supervisor usually has to review manually, such as whether or not an officer was in compliance with the agency’s BWC policy during a shift.
