Ohio: Officer Shot In Leg During SWAT Training.

Washington: The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office has placed a deputy on administrative leave after the deputy shot and wounded a man in a tree with his gun instead of a Taser, the sheriff’s office said. The deputy meant to fire the Taser and not his gun on Thursday, but grabbed the wrong weapon, sheriff’s office spokesman Scott Wilson told the Kitsap Sun.

Florida: The Citizens Review Board of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office voted unanimously Thursday night to support findings that two of the agency’s officers acted properly when they used deadly force in separate shooting incidents.

The first case involved the Jan. 13 shooting of Milwee Middle School student Chris Penley. He was shot on the campus by Lt. Mike Weippert after he pointed a realistic-looking toy gun at the officer.
