LOS ANGELES- A bullet struck a tractor-trailer Wednesday, the latest in a spate of shootings involving freeway traffic, the state Highway Patrol said.
No one was injured in the incident, which brought to 12 the number of such shootings this year in Southern California, authorities said. Four people have been killed.
The driver did not realize Wednesday that he’d been shot at, but heard something hit his trailer while he was driving on the Long Beach Freeway, CHP Officer Armando Clemente said.
When he returned to his company’s headquarters in East Los Angeles, colleagues discovered the bullet hole, Clemente said.
