Police1 Staff Report
(FALMOUTH, Va.) -- A 43-year-old Bristow, Va., man let an anti-DUI impulse take over, then deputies took him in.

Paul Gilbert Smith, 43, reportedly “mooned” two Stafford County deputies this weekend from a window at the Holiday Inn in Fredericksburg, according to The Free Lance-Star.

Deputy Pete Garcia and 1st Sgt. Curtis Doss were speaking with someone in the motel’s parking lot when they heard a tapping on a window and looked to see a man drop his trousers and press his bare buttocks against the pane of a picture window, the newspaper reported.

After moving his rear end back and forth the man also gave deputies the “one-finger” salute, police said.

Garcia and Doss reported that an intoxicated Smith was expressing his opinion of DUI enforcement, after hearing that the sheriff’s office was operating a sobriety checkpoint nearby. No such DUI operation was being conducted, authorities said.

Smith originally declined to identify himself to the deputies then provided his driver’s license, according to Sheriff Charles Jett, who quoted Smith as muttering that “he was screwed,” according to the newspaper.
