(CLOVER, S.C.) -- Clover police made a surprising discovery as they searched the car of a motorist stopped for speeding on the night of Dec. 1.
In the center console of the older model Ford Mustang was something police would describe only as a “home-made explosive device.”
The driver and his passenger were taken to the police station where the passenger, 17-year-old Huey Lee Saunders of 1015 Turkey Creek Ridge Road admitted he had made the device, according to police reports. He was arrested and booked at Moss Justice Center, where he was being held without bond. The driver was charged with reckless driving and released, the report states.
