BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — Brookhaven police arrested a suspect who attempted to evade capture by hiding in the ceiling of a restaurant after officers responded to reports of a man threatening employees, WSB reported.

After being called to the restaurant, officers discovered the man had an active arrest warrant for assault, according to the report. When officers attempted to take him into custody, the suspect broke free and disappeared.

Body camera footage captured the man denying the assault allegations before fleeing.

“Come on now, that’s not necessary boss!” the man can be heard saying as he resists the officer.

Police deployed a drone to search the ceiling, locating the suspect in a corner above the men’s restroom.

Realizing he had no escape, the man eventually climbed down and was taken into custody, according to the report.
