LONDON – Two uniformed London Metropolitan Police officers got engaged during London’s Pride event, and another officer proposed to his boyfriend in the crowd.

According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the officers were marching in the event on Saturday when one of them paused to propose - garnering cheers from the crowd.

Another uniformed officer walked over to his boyfriend in the crowd and also proposed.
Around 80 officers took part in the event as a result of increased security in the wake of the attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando earlier this month. A moment of silence was held to honor the victims of the Orlando attack during the London Pride parade.
