WYANDOTTE, Mich. — Wyandotte Detective Scott Galeski is working with his family to produce a feature-length film about living in Detroit.
The 21-year police veteran will utilize brother Dan Galeski’s music and editing expertise for “Pookerland,” a longer version of an earlier Galeski project, according to Wyandotte Patch. Detroit rock artist Mitch Ryder noticed what the brothers were doing and is now on the production team as well.
“I like these guys and I love what they’re doing. I think it’s a good story.” Ryder told ABC 7.
Daniel Galeski expects the process of shooting the movie, which will showcase the reality of living in Detroit, to be emotional.
“It’s been painful already,” Daniel said. “I get choked up.”
The Galeski brothers’ most recent movie, “The Tank II” will be released in November. “Pookerland” does not yet have an estimated release date.
