FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. — Harrowing dashcam video shows a Wisconsin sheriff’s deputy nearly being struck by an out-of-control car on a snowy highway.

During a recent snowstorm, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Fabry stopped to help a driver who ended up in a ditch, ABC 7 reports. As he walked back to the road toward his parked vehicle, an oncoming car started to spin out of control.

Fabry was not facing the car as it careened toward him but turned around in time to jump out of the way without injuries.

Via a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office reminded drivers to be safe and that the incident could have been deadly.
