This week’s photo comes from Deputy Dustin Poche of the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office of Louisiana. Poche writes, “Tribute to the Fallen Deputies of St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office that were ambushed on August 16th 2012.
“Pictured are two St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office units and two St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office units. The tribute was a blue line fluer de leis painted in front of a cajun christmas bonfire. The tribute was a gift from the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office as a rememberance that the fallen will never be forgotten. The units with lights on represent the saying “We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.”
